OISCA Electronics was set up with the financial support of National Bank for Agricultural and Rural Development of Government of India. Its aim is to settle poor rural unemployed women who possess diploma in Electronics, in productive employment by skill up gradation. With the Information Technology booming up and most of the states in India undergoing power shortage and voltage disturbances the requirement of equipments like Inverter, UPS for computers, stabilizers etc has tremendously increased.
At first twelve women was selected and given training in power electronics like making of PCBs and assembling it and also the service and repair of household electrical equipments for a period of six months. Like that three more batches of women were given training and total 48 trainees got training from OISCA Electronics. After the training the women will set up satellite units in their homesteads. Each satellite unit will be given the job of assembling the inverters and UPS by OISCA Electronics (the mother unit) the assembled products will be returned to mother units who in turn will market it in association with a firm involved with Mother Unit.
Now OISCA have eleven staff working with it and the products manufactured are marketed with the help of Safe Power Technologies an ISO Co. Many trainees who received training from OISCA have now set up their own units and are earning good income. They have become self-reliant. |
